MOVED IN NOIR
Performance (2016)
Moved in Noir is an audiovisual/movement performance project exploring themes of liminal space, queer identities, and the concept of “noir.”
Moved in Noir was created by removing the male protagonist from the film noir movies and constructing a love story between two characters, Gilda (1946) and Phyllis of the Double Indemnity (1944).
Moved in Noir was a performance project produced/created by Senem Pirler and performed at the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) in 2016. This piece was a collaboration between light artist Tuce Yasak, choreographers/performance artists Malin Andreasson and Delphina Parenti, camera operators Kathy High and Michelle Temple, and audiovisual artist Senem Pirler.
